PhD Candidate



Ferhan completed his masters in Analytical Chemistry and M.Phil. (Molecular Biology / Biotechnology) with high distinction from National Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology (CEMB), University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He worked here in three other universities: Waterloo, York, and Ryerson before joining U of T. Since September 2011, he is registered as a Ph.D. student at CBBP, Faculty of Forestry, University of Toronto. As a Green Polymer Biotechnologist, interested in how to make and alter the existing technology for the development of green biochemicals. His research project is about Investigation of Fungal Interaction with Bark/Lignin. In his spare time Ferhan likes playing a variety of sports, exploring things, browsing, reading, travelling and enjoying company with friends with variety of foods, sights and sounds of Toronto.
